RebelMouse offers unique, customizable dashboards through Google Looker Studio that provide key insights into the metrics that matter most to publishers. We give our clients the ability to quickly understand the performance of their sites so that they can then make important decisions on the fly. Here's what you get out of the box.
Starting with a general site overview, we examine the traffic performance of your home page, which includes:
- General Metrics, such as pageviews and users
- Content Performance
- Top Sections and Authors
- Audience Demographics
- Loyalty Performance
- Pages by Query
- Layout Comparison
To get the best performance out of individual content, we design your Looker Studio dashboard to display the best content within a particular period of time or range of dates. This includes filter buttons to narrow down content when necessary, including by author, device type, section, or social platform. We can also show you who and what the best-performing author and section is within a desired period of time.
To create the best content, you need to first understand who is looking at your content, which is why our Looker Studio dashboard is a great tool to analyze audience demographics. We set up tables and charts to categorize your audience and see how they're engaging with content. These segments include:
- Gender
- Age
- New vs. returning visitors
- Sessions by day of the week
- Sessions by hour of the day
- Devices used
- Top mobile devices
- Top screen resolutions
In addition, to get the best returns out of Google Search, you can hook in your Google Search Console account to analyze what search queries are getting users to your page. A/B testing allows for the comparison of side-by-side post layouts, so you can see what's really striking a chord with the consumers of your content.
With our out-of-the-box Looker Studio dashboard, most publishers get the useful data that they're looking for to see what works for their site, which then allows them to make the data-backed decisions that increase traffic, revenue, and other key metrics. However, we also can work with you to provide other information if you need it. If you have a more specific need, that isn't covered by our default dashboard, we can consult to scope a data solution that's a perfect fit.

The sections below the referral sources cover the overall performance of the site on mobile and desktop, as well as the performance of just the home page. Toward the bottom, we cover the performance of referral channels and highlight new versus returning site visitors.

The Content Performance page of our Looker Studio dashboard shows you which content is performing the best. You can filter by the following parameters to drill into the data:
- Author
- Channel
- Device
- Layout
- Platform
- Section
- URL
Page: Sections and Authors
The Sections and Authors page of our Looker Studio dashboard allows you to break down the most popular content sections on your site, and also showcases the top authors by pageview, users, pages per user, time per user, and the entrance rate.
Note:
Google Analytics calculates the time a user spends between the first page and the second page to calculate its Average Time on Page metric. This can sometimes skew data. For more reliable insights, it's best to refer to the Time/User column in our Google Looker Studio dashboard on the Content Performance page.
Page: Audience Demographics
The Audience Demographics page of our Looker Studio dashboard breaks down demographics by gender, returning and new visitor, age, and sessions by day of the week and hour of the day. There are also graphs for mobile versus desktop versus tablet use, top devices, and top screen resolutions.
Loyalty Performance
The Loyalty Performance tab of your DataStudio shows different levels of loyalty, or fan level. We have defined 5 levels of loyalty as such:
- New Visitor: 1 session
- Returning Visitor: 2 sessions and above
- Loyal Visitor: 3 sessions and above
- Fans: 4 sessions and above
- Super Fans: 5 sessions and above
Page: Pages by Query
The Pages by Query page of our Looker Studio dashboard shows a chart of which search queries are landing on which pages, and how many impressions were gained from those respective search terms.
Page: Layout Comparison
The Layout Comparison page of our Looker Studio dashboard allows you to compare different layouts and review performance.
