Sometimes it's not clear what certain terms mean when taking advantage of the features RebelMouse offers, such as the Daily Stats email feature. The purpose of this post is to explain the difference between two terms used in the Daily Stats email: Subscriber and Signup .
As a reminder, you can turn on Daily Stats emails in your account settings:
Note: In the screenshot above, the third checkbox is titled Notify me of engagement and traffic peaks on my site . This is a feature we offer called Velocity Alerts. Velocity Alerts will send out an email to you whenever an article is going viral. To us, the definition of "viral" is when an article receives more traffic than usual from another website or source, such as a social platform, in addition to increased site visits.

What Does "Subscriber" Mean in Daily Stats?
In the Daily Stats feature, there's a section for Subscriber stats:
A subscriber is someone who has filled out a call-to-action (CTA) form, like the following example for a newsletter:
What Does "Signup" Mean in Daily Stats?
In the Daily Stats feature, there's a section for Signup stats.
A user who has signed up is someone who has created a user account on your site:
